Earlier this week on Instagram, I shared about my most recent panic attack and how Cole and I handled it together. Today, I want to share a scripture that I’ve committed to memory and cling to during these times of anxiety, fear, and uncertainty.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve struggled with these moments – the shaking hands, the chest pains, the unexplained red-hot hives – but it wasn’t until a few years ago that I finally received a definitive diagnosis of Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Suddenly, all of the weird things about myself that I never understood, made sense. And when you finally know what’s wrong, you can treat it.

Together with my family, physician, and God, I’ve gotten so much better at coping with the unfounded worries that try everyday to hijack my brain.

When I feel an attack coming on, I simultaneously pray and take my rescue medication. Psalm 23 has been a comfort to me since I was 10 years old and I love the illustration of still water.

Psalm 23 KJV

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”

If you tuned in last week, you know that our new Sunday series focuses on mixing Faith + Fashion. This week, we’re back with another gorgeous dress from NeeSee’s Dresses.

I love how the structured seams of The Elena, which also comes in Dusty Coral and Emerald, creates a soft and feminine fit-and-flare silhouette. The sash is just perfect – tied either in the front or back, depending on the look you like!

The jewel neckline, long sleeves, and knee length skirt makes it a gorgeously modest church dress. Here, I paired it with my favorite black ankle heels and these gold-edged resin earrings in a sparkly Tortoise pattern.

Be sure to tune in next week to see what heart issue we’re tackling, and the new boutique we’re featuring!

Thanks so much for reading!
