Next up in our Babes Support Babes Series, is my sweet friend Heather Falls from The Yellow Elephant – a Chloe & Isabel Boutique.
Heather joined the jewelry company nearly 5 years ago, in search of a creative outlet. She’d been working 4 jobs and needed something new, something fun. She found Chloe & Isabel, and has since become one of Tuscaloosa’s top-performing stylists.
“It all started at a difficult time in my life when I was in the middle of a strenuous marriage and supporting us both,” Heather said. “I was looking for an outlet that…gave me inspiration and motivated me to be more confident.”
Not only has Heather found her confidence, she’s helped fellow women develop their own.
“Many people have seen my work with the brilliant Ines Schaefer, an accomplished portrait photographer from Germany, who has captured the exceptional beauty in every women – no matter their age, beliefs or unique qualities they possess,” Heather said.
The Yellow Elephant also provides Heather with the opportunity to give back to her community. She’s assisted with funeral expenses and organ transplant costs for families in Tuscaloosa.
“Throughout the years, I know that my business has made an impact,” she said. “Whether it is donating or volunteering, I choose to spend my time where it counts the most.”
A few weeks ago, Chloe & Isabel, the parent company to The Yellow Elephant, announced that they’re closing their doors this year. The caption on Heather’s last Instagram post before receiving the news reads: “If you don’t take a step forward, you’ll always be in the same place — wishing you all a wonderful July where new doors open and old doors close.”
The next day, she found out that Chloe & Isabel will close on July 31.
“I have to figure out what lies next in this book called life,” she said. “So many doors that have opened for me are due to Chloe & Isabel and the confidence boost this brand and jewelry has given me over the years.”
Heather plans to wrap up this month with a sale, before launching a blog.
“It will be an extension of my Instagram page, which is filled with inspiration, motivation, style, faith, and really just sharing good vibes all around.” she said. “I want to cheer on my community, share my style, and show the world that we can each leave this world better than we found it.”
